boiler, I got a new computer at work in Dec. I learned you can install both v1 & v2, so I did. I was getting errors on some of my v1 scripts. Why would that happen. ZERO errors on old computer with v1. V1 on the new computer sometimes doesn't work. So I thought, not being a coder, v2 must be better right. I have a GUI with 28 buttons. Mostly open folders scattered over 12 servers. I copy files, and generate emails in Outlook, and search for a certain project folder buried in 1 of 4 folders. Otherwise I would be clicking all day just to get to where I need to go. All code came from this forum. It has all worked for the past 9 years. So I choose to rebuild my app/gui using v2. I'm 63, I do audio for television. At 7am, I get an email, this 5 min video goes LIVE on air at 9a. Takes me 1 hour to operate and fix all the audio problems. Its stressful enough without having to fight the PC and the workplace and where they put files. Writing code to search all the folders and open up the project takes about 3 seconds, 90% stress released. I cant imagine how my co-workers do it everyday. I'm doing the best I can being a non-coder and can never explain how grateful I am to every person who helps me get my buttons to work. Thank you.
